The Language Club activities: Battle of the Band

5:09 AM Edit This 0 Comments »

In every semester the language club makes a competition which is battle of the band. This activity gets attention from student because there are many talented students in music and instrument. It actually take part by male student but still hoping that next time will have a participant from female student which can make this competition more success and alive. The language club may have their own objective why they make this competition. For us they make a correct activity because the participant sings English songs so that it will improve their language and pronunciation indirectly.

Battle of the band was held at multipurpose hall at 8.45 p.m. it start with give a question to the student who comes to watch the performance from all participants. Who get answer the question will given a special prizes from TLC. There are four judges which judge participant performance. Two juries judge on language, one on performance and one more on music. There are eleven band perform on that day. This semester makes a little bit differences from previous semester because there are very limited place provide to the audience so that audience need to come early to watch this competition. Not only have that to make sure we still care about ethics during the competition TLC arranged separate place between female and male.

Student also can get a special tag of battle of the band from the language club at only two ringgit per each. They sold it at front of multipurpose hall. All audience happy and enjoy with their performance. All bands give a big competition with each other. At the end of the competition we get know who the winner is.

1st place: antivirus (sweet child of mine)
2nd place: d‘marzio (rock you like hurricane)
3rd place: road ready (perfect situation)

Lost or win is not a matter as long as they can built their confidence and get more experience it more valuable. Hopefully this kind of activities will be continuing to the next semester. Congratulation to the the language club because successful doing their task.

Do you want to know the baby monkey’s name?? Its name is Momo. We take a good care of it with a full of love. Momo is much pampered. After several of month Momo become adult and we have to give Momo to authority party because we just found that to take care of monkey we need a license. We are very sad and hard to forget Momo but we have no choice. So that why we want everyone take a good care of their monkey and appreciate it.

How to Take Care of a Monkey

Monkey enjoying a lollipop

Monkeys are not the common house pet but they are fun to have around! If you have the time and patience and location to welcome a new type of pet, try learning about monkeys. If you feel you could accommodate this type of new friend, then perhaps the following will teach you something about owning one. Although, you must have a license for monkeys if you live in the U.S. and other countries. A lot of monkeys are bought off of the black market, but the people buying them don't even know that. The license can cost more than 1,000 dollars. So be sure that you are not having a monkey as an illegal pet, if you do, turn it over to the local zoo.

Steps :

Bring your monkey home, play with him and be sure to study his actions to eventually understand what he wants. Until you learn his language, and he learns yours, keep putting supplies like food or toys in front of him until he calms down. The best food for monkeys are exactly what you eat. Fruits, vegetables, pasta, breads and rice. Do not feed them chocolate, avocado or other pet foods.

Begin training the monkey. Say his name often when feeding , or offering him a toy. Also, say his name when petting and loving him. When he responds to his name, give him a treat and praise him. When saying a command, act out how you want the monkey to act! So if you say "dance," start hopping around! When he learns a trick give him treats and praise him! Start with simple commands like "sit" and "stay". Generally, monkeys are not "tricksters". Sit would be a good command, but getting a monkey to stay in one place for more than a few seconds would be quite a feat.

Bathe your monkey in the shower with you - daily. You may use regular soaps and shampoos. When brushing, use a rubber brush for short hair and a wire for long. You can use lice shampoo if you feel he has been exposed. Use warm, not hot, water. Use small and safe scissors if hair cutting is necessary.

Teach your monkey to be housebroken. If you have purchased a baby, always keep them in a diaper and even a t-shirt or other "clothing". As your monkey gets older, you can teach them to use the toilet. This is time consuming, but it can be done. Play as if he were a human! They love hearing your voice and they like things that are shiny, musical, and soft. You can find out just how social he is by putting him in front of a mirror to see how he reacts.

Finally have fun and show him off to your friends.
